Bathroom update

My flooded bathroom is coming together. The new drywall is in and ready for paint. Matt & Cole painted the bathroom on Saturday. Matt also started on the tile but only got some of it complete but it is coming together. Take a look... what you think of my color? It is a little daring but it is growing on me. I am going to accent with chocolate brown.

Super Mom? Or Crazy?

Last weekend the guys went fishing so it was just me and the kids. Stacy called me on Thursday night and had free tickets for the Circus. Stacy & I decided that we would attempt to take the kids (Cole, Mya, & Sam). Yep, I think we are crazy! Actually the kids did pretty good they lasted at least until the intermission, at that point the kids we starting to get tired and loosing interest. We survived and no kids got left behind.

Dad's Night

Last Monday Cole's Preschool had Dad's Night. The picture below is the cool hat that Daddy and Cole made together. Pretty cool hat don't you think? They also played in the gym and did other special projects. I get to have Muffins with my little man on Thursday morning.

Ready Set GO!!

Now that Mya is crawling she thought she would challenge Monty to a race.
Not sure Monty was up for it. Mya can crawl pretty fast now.

And She's Off...

Mya can now officially crawl. She took off today and now there is no stopping her. She has already discovered the stereo and stuff under the T.V. I had to tell her no she just laughed at me, hopefully that is not the sing of things to come. It is so very weird to hear myself tell her no. She is growing so fast. Seems like she does something new everyday. She also is pulling up, but she has been doing that for some time now.

Roller Skating

Cole finally got to use his skates that he got for Christmas. He does pretty good. Skating in the garage.

What else did Mya do Today

Mya can go from lying down on her belly to sitting up. Today when she woke from her nap and this is how I found her!!!! I guess it is time to move the mattress down. She can't craw yet but she can sit up!!!!

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Mya watches everything you do. Almost everyday I sing Itsy Bitsy Spider with the motions to the girls I watch. It is a great production with the exception of my voice. Mya has picked up on the motions. I was lucky enough to get it on video. I am very surprised at 7 months she can do this.

Rub dub bath in the Kitchen Sink?

Mya is a big girl now and has officially out grown the baby bathtub. She gets to take baths in the big tub now. Not tonight.... she gets to take a bath in the sink. Why you ask?????? Well lets see... the bathroom is a little um how do you say... flooded. Yep flooded!!! So you know those fun commercials that show the kids using "big kid wipes"? The moms happy the kid can wipe his butt himself!!! Well I bought some of them for Cole. As it turns out you only need one wipe not a whole package. If you have not figured it out by now these wonderful wipes caused my bathroom to flood. Too make a long story short. I had a lot of water and a big mess to clean up. There was so much water that is seeped through the floor to the basement and made a huge mess down there too. Good news insurance came out took a look and now I am getting a new bathroom and new ceiling tiles in the basement and Matt is getting his pool table re felted!

Cole Met Fred Bird

Today Cole & his daddy got to go to Aunt Jan & Aunt Stacy's work to meet "Fred Bird" at the nursing home. He was so excited. I am pretty sure that he loved it he told me all about it when he got home.

Has Spring Sprung?

I hope spring is finally here. Sunday was nice and we took the kids out to run around and enjoy the weather. Cole played catch with daddy and just ran. I think Mya likes the outside too she smiled the whole time were out there.

Trying new foods...

Mya has been very uninterested in eating the boring old baby food. Lately I have been letting her try some table food. She loves it!!! Sunday I gave her scrambled eggs. She seemed to like them when she could catch it. Mya has had Ritz crackers, Bananas, puffs, cooked carrots, French fries. She is just like Cole he never really liked baby food he always wanted what we had. Mya is really getting to big to fast.
