Mya

Does that look like a sick baby? Mya's first day home

For those of you that did not know Miss Mya was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago for four days with the RSV. Mya had a coughing spell and she did not seem to recover quick enough so I called the Dr. and they sent me to the ER. Her oxygen levels were to low so they kept her and put her on oxygen. The first snow of the year and we watched from our hospital room. I stayed with Mya the entire time. Mya is home and better. I think we are out of the woods for now. We just have to be careful she does not get another cold that turns back into RSV.

Update

Both kids are still sick we found out yesterday that Cole now has strep and that Mya does indeed have RSV but her chest x-ray was clear. Cole is being treated with antibiotics and he is acting like nothing is wrong. Mya is pretty sick she is still wheezing & coughing. She went back to the Doctor today and we spent 2 1/2 hours there. Her oxygen levels were not where they thought they should be so she had to have several breathing treatments while we were there to see how she would react and finally after the last one her readings were good. She is at home and resting peacefully. She gets breathing treatments every 3 hours. She seems to be reacting well to the breathing treatments. We will keep your posted but I think she is going to be fine just needs rest and lot of mommy time.

Sick Day

Both kids are sick, yesterday we had a lazy day. We laid around in our PJ's and tried to get better. Cole is doing much better but Miss Mya made another trip back to the Dr. late yesterday she is wheezing and not sounding to good. They did a breathing treatment at the Dr. and sent us for a chest xray. Still waiting for the results. I'll keep you posted.

Celebrate

This weekend Stacey and Tom hosted a Miller get together in their new home. Bill and Jamie and their son Logan came from California for a visit. We realized as we were taking family photos that there really is a lot of us even with some missing. Enjoy the photos from our evening. To see other photos check our Stacey's Blog She has a few more pictures. In cool scrapbook form. http://www.thereedlife.blogspot.com/

Mya Laughs out loud

I had to post this video of Mya she is laughing out loud. I am sorry it is so hard to see the lighting in my living room was not too good when I started taping. Just make sure your sound is on so you can hear her.

Christmas with Friends

Last weekend was our annual Christmas dinner with our friends. We all bring a side and then enjoy a meal together. The kids exchange gifts and us adults chat. Every year we try to get a group photo of the kids. As you can see it is difficult to get them all to cooperate at the same time. I hope we are able to continue this tradition for years to come. Can you believe how many kids there are? This is not even all of them some were missing and two are not even born yet!!! Yikes there are more kids than adults!!

Sister like Brother

I think they definitely look alike....

Posing by the Tree

Pictures of the kids by the tree.

I think they are starting to look alike!!

Dress up

Mya has two Christmas dresses since I had a tough time deciding which one I liked best so I bought them both. She looks pretty cute in both. We have plenty of places to go for Christmas. Now Mya will not have to wear the same dress two days in a row. I was trying to get her picture by the tree but the dresses were to slippery and she kept sliding, so we just took the one and then went to the changing table where she could be more comfortable. I have to say it is so much fun playing dress up!! We will be sure to take plenty of pictures when she is dressed up hopefully we will get some good ones that will better show off her dresses.

Christmas Decorations

Christmas is my most favorite time of the year I love the decorating and preparing for the holiday. Cole was a big help this year he set up the Nativity and decorated the tree. Thanks to my mother-in-law for the tree it looks great and fits perfect in our living room. Enjoy the pictures from the day.
