Pictures

I have been so bad at this blogging thing again. We as a family have been so busy. I am still taking lots of pictures. I will post as many of them as I can. The pictures may be out of order.

He still love's his baby sister.

Cole tries so hard to get her to play with him. If Mya could she would. She really does love to watch him and gives him great big smiles when he comes into the room. She even tries to carry on a conversation with him.

I just love this picture. She is getting so big....
Mya is growing so fast. I need to catch everyone up on some of her firsts.
  • She can roll over both ways.
  • She eats cereal, veggies & fruit (she really likes the fruit especially bananas).
  • She can blow raspberries... her favorite thing to do while eating.
  • She is can sit unassisted for a short time.
  • She laughs out loud and Jabbers.
  • Reaches for objects.
  • She has 2 bottom teeth they broke through the week before she turned 6 months. (I am trying to get a picture but she rarely will let me see them.
  • Stranger/separation anxiety she does not like it when I leave the room. I guess that is a downfall of being a stay at home mom. The plus to being at home is that I am getting to witness a lot of the first as she accomplishes them.

Here Mya is telling me what an alligator says. Mya learned this while she was watching me and the little girl I babysit practice our animal sounds. Mya was laughing and I looked down and she was clapping her hands together as we were doing it. (In case you are wondering what an alligator says, it is a clap). I have video I just cannot seem to get it to load.

Baby Safe Feeder

Ok in case some of you are wondering what this thing is that Mya is chewing on, it is a Baby Safe Feeder. It is a netted bag with a handle that you can put fruits, vegetables and other yummy snacks in for teething or just to prevent choking of solid food. I think the concept is absolutely gross in fact it gags me watching her chew on it. I always walked pass them in the store and swore I would never buy one. Well last weekend while out to dinner I changed my mind. Mya sat watching us eat and reaching for my food. I thought I would let her take a lick on my French fries well one lick and she was wanting the whole thing she grabbed a hold of my hand so I would not take it away and began to practically eat the whole thing. I decided to check into these Baby Safe Feeders so Mya could safely taste other foods. She absolutely loves this thing!! The other night I put a banana in it she sucked on it for 20-30 min and cried when I took it away. It is the funniest thing to watch. They are pretty messy but it keeps her happy. She knows what that thing is and gets very excited when she sees me bringing it to her. Mya has had bananas , carrots and ice in her Baby Safe Feeder.

So I guess you should never say never...

Both hands and eying me so I do NOT take it away!!

Rollin...Rollin...Rollin

She DID IT!

Mya rolled over for the first time Monday February 11, 2008. She was not to happy I think she wanted to know who put her on her belly!! She has been a rolling fool she now rolls pretty much every time she gets on the floor. She has rolled from her belly to her back, but only once. She rolled over in her crib the other night and got so very mad.

I know it is a little past but At the end of December Mya also had her first taste of cereal. I took the picture but I don't thing I ever posted it so here it is sorry if I posted this twice. Since this Mya has moved on to bigger and better things Veggies and now some fruits.

She ate it all!

Falling behind

Ok so I was doing good keeping up with my blog, well all good things sometimes come to an end. As some of you may or may not know I am now a officially a "working girl". I am now babysitting and this week was my first week. So far I have only taken on one little girl but I think it is a good test. She is 15 months and a pretty good little girl. I think we are getting along fairly well.

The kids are doing ok they have been sick pretty much since I don't remember. Cole has been coughing and had a snotty nose since before Christmas. He is on his 2nd dose of antibiotics, steroids and an inhaler so hopefully we can finally nip it in the butt! Mya well she is another story. She is doing good now but a few weeks ago while I was trying to get the house ready for babysitting she was being extra crabby and would cry for hours at a time and nothing would sooth her. So I had to take her to the dr. and at the time they found nothing wrong with her. I knew I was not crazy but I just figured it was a faze, then 4 days later I got a call from the dr. and she had a urinary tract infection so they think. She was then treated with antibiotics. I think she is better she is definitely not crying for hours. I guess now we just wait for the next sickness and I am sure that there will be more sickness before the winter is over.

I have been taking lots of pictures so there are lots to upload....

Here are some pictures from the month!
