Vacation Part 2

Hi this is Matt here and I'm going to take you through the rest of our vacation, witch is to say the fishing part.

The fishing this year was amazing. Every time I go to the Ozarks I don't plan on catching any fish. Not this year. Uncle Steve was catching mostly catfish for the first part of the week and he caught enough of those for a fish fry. Then came the White Bass. Again, it was amazing. They were hitting one right after another. I have never had a fish hit a lure so hard that I didn't have to set the hook.

Its hard to see but we netted one!

It was said that he was grinning ear to ear the whole ride.

Also Cole got everyone to play baseball....even Great Grandma. (Finally figured out the YouTube thing Kinda sorry its sideways)

BABY UPDATE

Baby Girl Douglas

We went to the Dr. on Wednesday July 25th for our 2 week check up. Everything is going good we got another ultrasound the Dr. wanted to see how big Baby D is getting and make sure she is growing like she should. We were also able to confirm again that she is a GIRL!!! Baby Girl D is getting VERY BIG!! They are estimating that she is already 6lbs so she is going to be big not that is really matters since a C-section is in our future. The Dr. does not want to change my dates to make sure she has proper lung development and is ready to be born. I am measuring 3 weeks and 6 days ahead of what I am actually supposed to be so who knows maybe she will decide to come on her own early. The Dr. is planing on delivering me on September 11th I will officially get to schedule the day on our next visit so plan on the September 11th unless she comes early or the Dr. changes his mind after we go to see him next. It was so exciting to be able to peek in on Baby Girl D and watch her squirm around she looks to have some hair yes we could see it on the screen the technician pointed it out. It was pretty cool. She has chubby cheeks and seeing her makes us more excited to meet her and see what she looks like. I was finally able to scan an ultrasound picture so hope you enjoy. It is a picture of her face you can definitely see those chubby cheeks.

Lake of the Ozarks Vacation 2007

We just got home from vacation yesterday and we have ton's of pictures from the week. We had good time just relaxing. The weather was hot but that just made it necessary to go to the pool. We pretty much just stayed at the resort went swimming, ate and fished and watched Cole play baseball. Of course we brought Cole's baseball gear he won't let us leave home with out it. Enjoy the pictures...

This week Cole got very brave. He started jumping off the side of the pool and letting his head go under and swimming a short distance.

After a little swimming Cole and Daddy thought they would try a little fishing before dinner. Cole sat for a brief moment trying to catch a fish but he had baseball on his mind!! He did catch a fish but because he was patient!!!

I know you can't tell but daddy put the fish in the grass so Cole could get a closer look at his fish!!

Once it got dark Cole had to find other things to do so he thought he would try poker. Aunt Jan, Great Grandma and Carrie showed Cole how to play poker (left/right/center a dice game).

Happy Birthday Jennah!

Celebrating Jennah's 3rd Birthday!! Cole thought he needed to help Jennah since he had just had his birthday a few weeks earlier.

Cole hanging out with his "Girlfriend" Zoe after a fun day at the sitters! Cole and Zoe are great friends. Zoe and Cole are the same age and have birthdays a Day apart. Zoe started preschool at the beginning of July and Cole will Start in August these two are going to miss spending everyday together at the sitters. Cole says he is going to Marry her when he gets bigger!! So hard to believe that these two are about to start preschool!!!
